On Friday, November 21, a truly historic moment took place at Troy University. For the first time ever, the Troy University Symphony Band and the Sound of the South Marching Band came together in a joint performance—uniting two of the University’s most cherished musical ensembles—to premiere my newest piece, A Trojan Farewell.
Obsidian Hellfire Gains National Recognition
I’m thrilled to share that my composition Obsidian Hellfire has earned national recognition through The American Prize in Composition. The work was selected as one of only nine national finalists in the United States and ultimately awarded Honorable Mention—a distinction that places it among some of the most compelling new compositions in the country.
